Fundación Abrigo (Tegucigalpa, Honduras)

Fundación Abrigo provides a dignified temporary shelter to low income patients and/or their relatives coming from Honduran inner and rural areas to receive medical care or treatment in the country’s main public hospitals in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Lula). Abrigo runs two shelters of 150 beds each; over 72,000 people have been hosted over the year and more than 200,000 meals have been served. In addition to providing food and accommodation, the foundation also offers other services such as hygiene & dental care training, medicines, coverage of transportation costs, funeral arrangements, etc.

The Trafigura Foundation 3-year pledged support is undertaken in close cooperation with the Honduran Puma Energy office and network, who are also strongly involved in supporting Fundación Abrigo through various initiatives.

Namibia Floods

In response to the recent declaration of a State of Emergency in the northern and north-eastern parts of the Namibia, Puma Energy Namibia donated a total of US$21,400 to the relief operations after the major floods in the country.
